Lots of downtime recently. Here are some measures meant to improve the situation:
- I downgraded the Apache servers to the prior version (which seemed more stable)
- Cleaned up the httpd.conf files (removed the wp_619) blog
- [Temporarily] Replaced the weblogs.us frontpage with the “status” blog (lower resource usage)
- May provide an automate WP 2.1 upgrade feature for users
I’ll be trying to get in a new faster DB server this weekend, and potentially a new webserver the weekend after that.
